Well I've recently arrived back from the Airport dropping off my hubby who's off to Melbourne, Australia for two weeks. Wasn't the easiest feat for me as we haven't been apart for a 3-4 years. But exciting also as at the end of it I get to go over for the last weekend being (Queen's Birthday Weekend, NZ's celebratory of it anyway) and I get to Shop, Shop, Shop and see a few sights while I'm at it. I'll be killing two birds with one stone, never been on a plane and never left my country. Having to do it all on my own, how brave!!
Since being back from the Airport we've made a nice batch of pancakes (just how I remember them), my dad used to make them for us on Sunday mornings for brekky.
Last night we went to Rich's boss's 50th birthday. He's a bit of a sleeze, so I made him this card which I thought was very appropriate!!
Well I'm onto my second marriage, hubby and I have been together coming up 8 years and have recently celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary.
Card for 1st Anniversary ...
1st Anniversary is the year of paper, I made hubby a voucher book, was great fun. It consisted of vouchers like, boys night, night off dishes, sunday sleep in, tv remote for the night, picnics in the park, a day of his choice, etc.
Card for the 2nd Anniversary ...
2nd Anniversary is the year of cotton, I got a scenery picture of Palm Beach, Waiheke Island where we married and had it printed on a T-Shirt for hubby, he loved it.
His pressie to me was a new duvet cover, cushions, and valance for our bed.
Well it's the end of a long day, lamb curry for dinner accompanied with rice and steamed broccoli.
Dishwasher's just finished it's cycle, daughter number one's turn to empty in the morning.
Here's a few scrapbooking delights from my heritage album. My brother's (blondy = Martin) and (darky = Justin) they are 6 & 5 years older than myself.
We explored our environment alot as children, we lived near a creek and in the winter we'd like to go and watch it overflow. We'd climb up the drainpipes in the dark and carry our torches and see how far we'd get, someone would wait on the outside and go up to each man hole and lift it's cover. What daredevils we were!!
I get up 5.45am Monday-Friday. Shower, make lunches, organise the girls, tidy the benches and we're out the door into the hustle and bustle of the traffic (music goes down for the drive, a selection of our favourite CDS) for our busy, busy day. After school there's homework, housework, errands to run and playing with the animals, fitting in time for coffee here and there. Every other weekend I get to spend time with my hubby while the girls go to their father's.
In my spare time, I love to scrapbook, make cards, read, catch up with friends, share my interests with other like minded people, catch a good movie, and spend time with my beloved and lovely kiddly winks, (well on a good day they are that!!)
I'm a stickler for my routine and don't cope with a lot of change, not too good with crowds.
Am one to stick things out without too much complaint.
Thanks for joining me on my blogging journey and sharing with me your ideas and creations.
